All students participating in athletics at Covenant must complete the required FHSAA paperwork. This paperwork must be completed and turned in BEFORE the first day of practice for the sport that the student wishes to participate in.
NO STUDENT WILL BE PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY OPEN GYM, SUMMER WORKOUT, TRY-OUT, OR PRACTICE WITHOUT THE PROPER, UP-TO-DATE FHSAA PAPERWORK.
All students must complete FHSAA Form EL02 (Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation) and FHSAA Form EL03 (Consent and Release from Liability Certificate).
Transfer students in the 6th grade or above need the GA4 recruiting policy affidavit. All new students to Covenant must have this form.
These forms are revised by the FHSAA, so please click HERE to access the latest forms on the FHSAA website.
Insurance Requirements: The FHSAA requires all athletes to have health insurance in order to be eligible to participate in athletic activities. If your child is not currently covered by insurance, there is school-based accident insurance available (for a small fee). Enrollment forms are available in the front office. Please make sure your child is covered to protect their eligibility.
Enriching Students' Lives
As a part of the Ministry of Covenant Christian School, the vision of the athletic department is to Glorify God by cultivating wise servant leaders, through athletics. Under the leadership of Christian coaches, athletes will be shown and develop Christ-like character. They will be taught and develop skills so that they are able to reach their full athletic potential. Athletes will take the worldview that they are learning in the classroom and in other aspects of their life and apply it to athletic competition. The athletes will be challenged to live out the Pride of the Lions philosophy as explained below.
