Application Process


Steps to Enrollment
Grades K-12

BEFORE ADMISSIONS PROCESS BEGINS: If child has an IEP it must be reviewed prior to submitting an online application. Parents will be contacted to know the next step to take.


1. Create an Online Application
To begin the Online Application process, create an account:

You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

As part of the application process you will be asked to upload the following documents or bring them to the front office. Pictures of the documents are not acceptable.

Initial documents needed:
1- Previous 2 year’s Report Card - grades K-12
2- Previous 2 year’s Standardized Test Scores - grades 3-12
3- Teacher Recommendation Form –grades K-6
4- English Teacher Recommendation Form –grades 7-12
5- Math Teacher Recommendation Form – grades 7-12
6- IF APPLICABLE: IEP/504 Diagnosis/Evaluation Results

7- IF APPLICABLE: Copy of any additional testing a student on IEP plan or 504 has had (e.g. WISC, Woodcock Johnson, etc.). If the student does not have any additional test, CCS may request that be completed prior to an offer of enrollment.

8- Request for Release of Records: After student is enrolled, a request for records will be faxed. 
After submitting the application, you will be able to check your admissions status by logging in to your account. You will be able to print the completed applications and monitor when the school receives the required application forms. The time frame of the admissions process depends on the timely manner that the documents needed are submitted. After all documents are received, the process can move forward to testing. 

2. Application Review and Testing Scheduled : 

Upon completion of this step, committee meets to determine continuation. 

Each prospective student will be scheduled for an entrance test. Students work with the Education Support Director on grade level appropriate work to determine proper classroom placement. Middle School and Upper School students will be asked to complete a Student Questionnaire and Student Essay at the time of entrance testing.


3. Family Interview : 

Upon completion of this step, committee meets to determine continuation. 

Once the admissions file is complete with ALL the necessary paperwork, we will schedule the family interview with the administration to learn more about what to expect at Covenant Christian School, how we will partner for your child’s education, the family’s spiritual walk, and ask any additional questions. Students are required to attend the Family Interview.

4. Enrollment
You will receive a formal decision email which will explain how to finalize your child’s enrollment.  The enrollment process will not be finalized until all items are completed, your FACTS/Family Portal account has been set up and the $350.00 enrollment fee has been paid. All new students admitted into Covenant Christian School are placed on a nine-week probation period to ensure that the new student is compatible with the mission and academic standards of the school.
