Covenant Christian School is a coeducational, college-preparatory day school founded in 1993 as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA). CCS offers a comprehensive program of instruction for students in grades K–12. The elementary school shares facilities with the secondary school, which is on the same campus.

The elementary staff under the direction of the headmaster and elementary principal includes one teacher for each class with one class for each grade, K–6; part-time physical education, music, art, and computer teachers, a school librarian, and elementary aides as needed. The secondary staff under the direction of the headmaster and the secondary principal includes 18 teachers; 13 full-time, 5 part-time, 22% with advanced degrees.

Admissions

The admissions process is designed to ensure a student’s readiness and potential for having a successful and rewarding experience at Covenant Christian School and to determine proper academic placement. It also plays a valuable role in confirming compatibility in Christian values, philosophy, and essential beliefs between the Christian home and school. The admissions process includes an interview with prospective students and their parents, a pastoral reference confirming church involvement, a review of previous school performance, and admissions testing.

Conduct grades are given according to the following scale:
O=outstanding, G=good, S=satisfactory, N=needs improvement, and U=unsatisfactory.
Kindergarten and 1st grades assign all grades, academic and conduct, using the O, G, S, N, and U scale.

Honors/AP Courses

Covenant offers AP Calculus, AP Literature, AP Language, AP Statistics, AP US History, AP European History, and Honors courses in all English, Social Studies, Math, and Science courses.

GPA Computation

The GPA is determined by adding the equivalent GPA quality points and dividing the total by the number of semester credits.
