Kayla Drawdy sets new school record at Regionals

Kayla Drawdy was the only CCS track member to compete at the FHSAA regional track meet Thursday, April 22, 2010.  She is a senior this year and finished her season with a huge personal record. Kayla ran in the 300 meter hurdle preliminaries and came in 3rd in her heat and 6th over all with a time of 50.9 seconds setting a new personal record and school record. She finished 8th overall in the finals. Kayla is the best female track athlete that has attended CCS and the team will really miss her when she graduates this year. She has competed at regionals the last three years in the 300 meter hurdles and the 200 meter dash and she holds the school record in the following events: 100 meters, 200 meters, 300 meters, 600 meters, 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, 2000 meter steeple chase, sprint medley, 4X100, 4X400, 4X800, and the long jump.
