Lions Finish Season with Strong Effort

The varsity soccer team faced the #1 seeded, Florida Air Falcons in the district semi-finals on Wednesday night. The teams came out fast, and both had scored before 5 minutes had elapsed. The score remained 1-1 for the rest of the first half.

The second half was closely contested, and neither team was able to score, until the Falcons put one in the goal, with 7 minutes left. Despite a furious rally, the Lions were unable to tie the game, and dropped a 2-1 decision.

Although a victory in the world's eyes was not accomplished, the Lord was honored and glorified by our team from start to finish. If you see Coach Del Pino or any members of the team, tell them thank you. They did Kingdom work this season and represented all of you well. Big 4 - go Lions!
