Soccer Team Starts New Year with Win

The Lions hosted former district rival Circle Christian on Tuesday, and showed no rust from the Christmas break, defeating the Centurions 5-0. Jonathan Dixon continued his strong season, scoring 2 goals, while Ryne Ferguson, James Sikes, and Tomas Fernandez each added one goal.
Covenant's overall record improves to 7-5 on the season, as the district schedule heats up in the new year. The Lions have two road games to finish out the week, traveling to Trinity Prep on Thursday for a 6:00 game, and then across town to Florida Air on Friday for a 4:00 start.
